Licenses
Single user licenses
1- 4 single user licenses, $10 per user
5- 9 single user licenses, $9 per user
10- 14 single user licenses, $8 per user
15+ single user licenses, $7 per user
Site License $150 (roughly equal to 21 users)
Covers all locations for your organization within a 160 kilometer radius of your site (100 miles). One big advantage of a Site License is that you do not need to keep track of how many people at your site are using the software.
World-Wide License $500 (roughly equal to 71 users)
Covers all locations for your organization on the planet Earth. One big advantage of a World-Wide License is that you do not need to keep track of how many sites are using the software.
Universal License $5000 (roughly equal to 714 users) will cover all Macs using Fonts Manager, regardless of location. So, if you use Fonts Manager™ on the Space Shuttle, you need to pay the $5000 license to be legal if outside of Earth's atmosphere.
Register Instructions
Shareware fee is $10 for Fonts Manager (FREE to registered users of ALL earlier versions). $More for the Mac OS X version when available (save time/hassle/$ - buy now). Volume discount, Site License, and World-Wide License available. Feel free to email fmlicense@aedvantage.com for answers to any licensing questions.
___________
You don't need to use Kagi registration if you send a US$ check (or money order) or US$ cash directly to me. In fact, you save me a little bit of money sending the payment directly to me, because Kagi takes about 12% commission.
Make US$ check (or US$ money order)
payable to: Ed Hopkins
at this address: 1807 Prairie Star Lane
Round Rock, TX 78664-2618
email: hoppy@kagi.com
___________
NEW: You may use the enclosed Register application to pay by credit card, invoice, or First Virtual, as well as international cash, check or money order.
Many thanks to Kagi (Kee Nethery) and Peter N Lewis (Register application) for making this possible!
___________
Payment
Paying for Fonts Manager™is fairly simple. Open the enclosed Register application. Enter your name, your email address, and the number of single user licenses you wish to purchase (or Site or World-Wide licenses). Save or Copy or Print the data from the Register application and send the data and payment to Kagi.
If you do not have an email address, please enter your complete postal address and please remember, I do not know what country you live in so please enter that into the postal address also (if not in the US).
Credit Card / First Virtual
If paying with credit card or First Virtual, you can email or fax the data to Kagi. Their email address is sales@kagi.com and their fax number is (510) 652-6589. You can either Copy the data from Register and paste into the body of an email message or you can Save the data to a file and you can attach that file to an email message. There is no need to compress the data file; it's already very small. If you have a fax modem, just Print the data to the Kagi fax number.
Payments sent to Kagi via email are processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email acknowledgement when it is processed. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days and if you provide a correct internet email address you will receive an email acknowledgement.
Cash or US$ Check
Please don't forget that you can send US$ cash directly to me (Ed) at the address above. Same with a US$ check. Kagi does charge a small amount, so I get more out of your $10 if you send it directly to me. (Thanks!)
If you are paying with non-US$ Cash you should print the data using the Register application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:
Kagi
1442-A Walnut Street #392-P9
Berkeley, California 94709-1405
USA
You can pay with a wide variety of currencies from different countries, but at present if you pay by check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi cannot accept checks in other currencies; the conversion rate for non-US$ checks is about US $15 per check and that is just not practical.
Invoice
If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into the Register program and then select Invoice as your payment method. Print three copies of the invoice and send it to your accounts payable people. You may want to highlight the line that mentions that they must include a copy of the invoice with their payment. Kagi cannot bill your company directly - you need to act on my behalf to generate the invoice and handle all the paperwork on your end.
Physical vs. Electronic
Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check, or Invoice as the payment method. As far as we know, there is still no technology to transfer physical objects via fax or email, and without the payment, the form cannot be processed.
Postal mail delays
Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10 days for processing. Again, if you include a correct email address, you will hear from Kagi when the form is processed.
After You Have Registered...
When you have paid the shareware license fee, you will be sent authentication information. Select Enter Authentication from the *FM* menu in Fonts Manager™to enter this information. This will remove the shareware message at startup, and add your Name to the splash screen (instead of ••••• UNREGISTERED USER •••••).
Your Authentication on the splash screen will serve as proof to institutional auditors that you have paid for this software, and are using it legally!
